Susie and I have been working really hard over the last few months and it has been lovely to see so many of you in clinic. Here is your quick update on what’s happening at Happy Face Aesthetics this month.

I get a lot of enquiries about Profhilo skin boosters and so I have decided to add it to our treatment menu. Skin booster are injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. We already use Revive skin boosters in clinic, but I understand that some people have different needs and preferences. We use both products in slightly different ways and one may be more appropriate than the other for individual patients. To book a consultation or to discuss, please get in touch.
Another exciting new treatment we are adding is Aqualyx. ‘Aqualyx®, has been developed for the non-surgical reduction of localised fat under the skin. It works by causing the dissolution of fat cells. The body then expels the released fatty acids naturally’. This treatment is great for areas of stubborn fat that will not go no matter how much weight you lose. For example, I have recently been using on my double chin (thanks for the genetics dad!), and I can see the improvement after two treatments. For best results you will need around 4 treatments.

We are closing the mole scanning service due to lack of demand. It may be something we bring back later in the year, but for now it is not cost effective keep hiring the equipment. If you still want a ole scan we can direct you to the closest facility offering this service.
As some of you may know, there has been a manufacturing issue with the nitrous oxide canisters that we use to freeze off your skin tags and moles. I have a bundle on order and I hope they will be here in the next couple of weeks so please bear with me.
This January we are offering 10% off of wrinkle relaxing treatments (I legally cannot say the word but you know what I’m talking about). If you are on the fence about starting this treatment, now is a great time to try it out.
Dermaplning is a great monthly treatment that exfoliates the skin and removes peach fuzz. It makes applying makeup and skincare much smoother and gives you a nice glow. It is £20 this month and if you really want to treat yourself the dermaplaning facial is £40. This includes and gentle enzyme peel, epidermal growth factor mask and LED therapy. Both treatments include a cleanse, cosmeceutical skin care and SPF 50.
Obviously, I cannot get through an email without mentioning my very favourite treatment, Microneedling. The winter time is the perfect time to get your skin sorted for the year ahead and microneedling is a wonderful non-invasive way to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, eradicate hyperpigmentation, smooth scars and aid hair growth. This month all new bookings will benefit from a 20% discount.
