At Happy Face, we’re dedicated to providing safe and effective care that helps you to live your best life. Our Wellness appointments are carried out in our CQC registered clinic by a highly experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent prescriber.
We all love the NHS, but we sometimes like access private services to answer questions about our health, that are either not readily available or we feel are too burdensome to take to our GP.
Our aim is to offer proactive healthcare for peace of mind. By offering a range of appointments and tests, we can help you take control of your health so you can keep being the amazing YOU.
Well Person Checks.
In this appointment we will measure a range of biomedical markers, discuss your lifestyle and concerns to determine your overall health and areas for improvement. As well as physical markers like height and weight, we will take blood tests which will be analysed at Nationwide Pathology by a team of experts.
You will then be asked back to the clinic to discuss your results and make a plan for your future health. We can also refer you to your GP or other specialists if we feel you need further care.

Mole Checks.
If you are concerned about a dodgy looking lesion or mole, you can have them checked here in clinic. In this appointment we will take a series of images, a video and some history about the lesion and you skin health. All of the information we gather is sent remotely to Map My Mole, which is run by a team of consultant dermatologists, and they will email you swiftly with your results and forwarding advice.
There is no need to make an appointment for mole checks. You can simply walk in and be seen.

Wound Care and Suture Removal.
It is sometimes challenging to get an appointment for wound care or post surgical suture/clip removal. We know this as we often get contacted by people who have had small injuries and need advice. Because of this we have decided to offer wound care and suture removal appointments in clinic.
Wound care will be limited to those sustained by minor injuries and will not include long term or complex wounds that would be better dealt with by a tissue viability team. However, if you are not sure if your wound can be managed by us, please contact us and our Advanced Nurse Practitioner can chat with you.

Minor Illness and Injury Consultations.
Sometimes we just need some advice, tests or a short treatment plan to shake off a minor illness or injury. These appointments are created for your convenience and peace of mind. If you think you may have a UTI, ear pain, coughs or colds, splinters, bumps or scrapes we can see you to assess and manage.
If, however, we feel that your symptoms need further care or investigations not offered here (like x ray) we will refer you on to your GP or appropriate specialist. Safety is always our first priority!

Family Planning Advice.
If you are thinking about starting to use a contraceptive method, but are not sure which will suit you, make an appointment with our Family planning and sexual health trained Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
In this appointment we can explore different methods and match you with a method that is safe for you. If you are already using a contraceptive method and are late getting your prescription refilled, we can help you with a private prescription.

Sexual Health Checks.
We take sexual health seriously! It is an element of our physical health that we often neglect out of embarrassment or under prioritising. These completely confidential appointments are offered for routine sexual health testing and advice, with our sexual health trained Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
You will be offered a follow up appointment to discuss your results and ongoing advice. You can be referred to the local sexual health clinic if we need to perform contact tracing, or procedures that are not available in our clinic.
